Troubleshooting and Assistance Procedures
Failure to Log In
Upon account creation, each person is given a login and password
that is sent to their email address of record. If you have not
received an email with your login and password then contact
the administrator.
The online CCP program identifies you upon login by your password
and then looks up the type of program you are registered for
and what your role in that program is.
It then puts this information into cookies and provides them to your
browser to expire several hours after you log in.
Once your browser has these cookies, all functions in the online
program know who you are and how to best assist you.
If you are unable to log in, and get no error message that there is
some issue with your password being incorrect, it is possible that
your browser is not configured to accept cookies. The following procedures
walk you through enabling cookies.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer:
- Click the Tools pulldown menu at the top of your browser window,
and select Internet Options ....
- In the Internet Options window, click on the tab at the top
labeled Privacy.
- In the upper section of this tab window, click on the button labeled
Sites...
- In the upper field labeled Address of Web site:, enter the following:
ccp.transitiondynamics.com
and click the button to the rightmost button labeled Allow
- At the bottom of that tab window, click the button labeled OK
- Click the OK buttons until you exit all menus.
- Mozilla Firefox:
- Click the Tools pulldown menu at the top of your browser window,
and select Options ....
- In the Options window, click on the lock icon at the top
labeled Privacy.
- Click on the tab header labeled Cookies
- Adjacent to the first line with a checkbox entitled Allow sites to set Cookies
click on the button Exceptions...
- In the upper field labeled Address of web site:, enter the following:
ccp.transitiondynamics.com
and click the button to the rightmost button labeled Allow
- At the bottom of that tab window, click the button labeled Close
- Click the OK buttons until you exit all menus.
Try logging in again (you may need to restart your browser). If this does not
work, you can go to the test page to see all
of the details of your connection.
If you do not see a small table with two entries under the heading
Cookies (one will say author_id
and each will have the same 3 digit
number on the right side), then your browser is not accepting cookies.
Review the above, stop and restart your browser, and try again.
Forgotten Password
If you forget your password, there is a link in the
login page
to enter your login or email address and your current password
will be emailed to you.
Fields and Explanations
Access Class or Role
There are several roles in the system.
- Client: Participants in the program. A client can participate in
two programs. The CCP program or the CCP Demo program.
- Coach: CCP coach or mentor. Coaches can not edit content
created by clients, but have visibility to only their clients' content and can
work with them via journal entries to guide them through the program.
They also have privileges to work with leads and contact Clients who do
not yet have a mentor or coach.
- Admin: The administrator of the system who can change
passwords, set up and alter account information.
Access ID
This is a unique identifier in the system for each person with
access and is not visible to the user.
Active
The level of activity is monitored and updated each time a person logs
in to help the coaches know who is making progress in the program and
to enable some of the helping features (essentially "training
wheels") for clients new to the program that will disappear
on subsequent logins after the client has gained enough experience with
the program navigation basics to no longer need them.
Expiration Date
Each account has an expiration date for optional use by the
administrator.
The login is the character sequence that uniquely identifies each
valid login user. It defaults to some combination of the letters of
the first and last name.
Each change by the administrator of login or password is sent to the
email address of record for that user.
Password
The password is an authentication character string used by each user
to gain access to the system. This can be changed by the administrator.
Each change by the administrator of login or password is sent to the
email address of record for that user.
People ID
This is the unique identifier of each person in the system. A person
may or may not have a login account (and password) that gives them
access to the online program. This allows a person to change names or
email without losing track of their content.
